Counterfeit bulbs are a huge problem. When you are offered an HID bulb at an impossibly low price, I would definitely be concerned. At the very least, I would make sure that the bulbs come in the original Philips boxes, that the boxes have the Philips COA (certificate of authenticity), that each box has a different serial number, and then I would go to http://www.chk.philips.com to check that the numbers are legit.
