Fantastic! Looks like mine does. Was yours sticky all the time or only when it's warm outside? Mine are only tacky when it's warm but the chunks come out easy always. Did they give you any hassle?

My was sticky all the time and crack. I bought my car from Texas about 2 month ago. Now it look like new car. First I bring it in to one dealer they say they nothing doing anything about this recall yet, and waiting for parts until June.

So I bring it to different Lexus dealer. They give me no hassle at all and got all part in 4 day and install in 1 day. I'm a happy camper.

You can also call lexus Headquarter in California to check your Vin# to see if your car is on the recall list.

Nice. What year was your car? Mileage? Did you have to pay anything out of pocket? Was your car under any type of warranty?

It is a warranty enhancement (like specific extended warranty). It is not a recall.

2008 IS350 I didn't have to pay anything. It's for recall not warranty. Here is the example letter I got from Google.

First Lexus dealer say same thing to me. So I went to another Lexus Dealer. If you have recall letter you can show it to them. Second dealer was happy I bring the car they charging Lexus Headquarter about $160 an hour for work done on my car.

I'm on a waiting list for mine. They are supposed to call when the parts arrive. They said it could be over a month wait.

I assume I can just go to Lexus and request this replacement being done at no cost? Assuming this is for all 2IS owners.

Refer to the document above. Certain range of 2IS owners are eligible, and the interior needs to show signs of the problem ("condition verified").

I think I got mine done fast because most Lexus in Minnesota does not have issue with crack dasboard because weather is not hot all year long like states in South.
