Redline 6900 RPM TC off bad for engine?

Forgot to shift from 4 to 5 traction control was off. Drove on highway switch to paddle shift redline 6900 RPM then engine cut off. Got me worry.

Really? I have traction control off all the times and I red-line around 6400-6600 RPM. It either hits the limiter or it shift up. I do this on a weekly basis. I never have the engine cutting off problem.

I'm newbie first time red line untile engine cut off. Because forgot to shift 4 to 5. Trying to get used to paddle shift. I got my Is350 about a month ago.

Curious as to how fast 6900 RPM in 4th gear is.

Didn't want to say the car still run great and no funny noise from engine.

I accidentally redlined and bounced off the rev limiter in first gear a few weeks ago... the engine did cut out.

I have not noticed anything different with the car yet... I now pay more attention when shifting in s-mode :D
