Default Would this work?

For my 07, I want to get this and play music from my USB. Would it work? Would I be able to control the songs from my steering wheel controls?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-5mm-Male-audio-aux-to-USB-2-0-A-male-M-M-adapter-Charge-Cable-USA-Seller-/281161085354?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item417681b1aa
Thanks!

Yes, you would be able to receive the audio signal through the 3.5mm port there; but you would not gain any steering wheel controls.

I don't see how it's possible to get music from a normal USB cable. Reading the description on eBay, it says it's not for music.

Thank you both for the reply. I think I'll just purchase a regular AUX cable and hook it up to my iPod. And I'd assume that through AUX cable, the steering wheel controls would work?

Im 99.9% sure you will NOT be able to control your steering wheel audio from an aux cable. Lets make that 100%

As others have said, it won't work. I'm just curious how you planning to cable it up, as neither an iPod/iPhone nor a 2007 IS have a USB jack that would fit the USB plug on that cable.

If you are using Apple products, there is an interface kit that will allow you to use all the factory controls

Quick search found this...

Hope this helps...

Thanks for trying to help the OP, pattatted4, but the product you found is a previous generation device from VAIS that came out when the iPhone 4 was Apple's flagship product. If he wants to invest that kind of money, he'd be better off with a current generation product like this one: http://www.vaistech.com/site/sl3b.php

I have a cable that has the Apple connector on one end and an usb connector on the other. But anyways I'll just stick with a regular AUX cable. Thanks everyone!
