Default is this a decent deal on 07 is250?

was at a car dealer looking for a new car and came across a 2007 is250. 16k, 71xxx miles. looks like its in pretty good shape. i liked the interior a lot. just looking for a fun rwd.

car fax looked like it was a leased car with two owners and it was like all over the country.

thoughts?

Spend the money on a 350! You can find one for around same price easily. If I can do it all over again I would of got a 350.

the 350 has the same interior and is a truly fun rwd.

to answer your question, i would forget about the 250 all together. theres a few members on here that regret buying the 250 and soon after end up trading it in for the 350. save urself the trouble and get the 350. one can easily be found for that same price range.

IS250 - carbon buildup (new engine)
IS350 - cam gear/seal (almost new engine)

Pick your poison!

I had a AWD 250 before I traded it in for my 350. No regrets at all. So glad I upgraded. Im sure you can find a few nice 350's with reasonable miles on it around your price range.

i took your guys advice and looked around for a 350 but unfortunatly there are none anywhere close to me. I'm pretty close to getting this one as my current car is a POS and i maybe even able to get the price a little bit lower.

is it safe to buy a 250 with this many miles? I'm just looking for something comfortable and reliable because I'm coming from a wrx that is an absolute nightmare and keeps breaking on me. I'm looking for something that won't need much aside from the basic car maintenance, thanks

Default pistons replaced

Piston replaced is def a good thing it basically has a new engine. I have an 07 is250 with 89,xxx miles i recently purchased and the same service was done to it at a Lexus dealer by its previous owner at 63,xxx miles. The car drives like it was just purchased brand new. I have zero complaints about it.
