My 07 IS350 just started doing this. I noticed recently that the Fuel light comes on when the Fuel gauge itself is not even halfway through the last quarter tank. I haven't done anything different to the car. I just noticed it about two weeks ago and wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem or if there is a way to fix it. I searched the forum and didn't find anything, but if a problem like this has been posted before, by all means, direct me to it. Thanks.

Must be having a sender/floating issue. Try refilling it up and hope it corrects itself.

When the light comes on, approximately how many more miles does the cluster say you have left to go on that tank?

its always going to set a slight slightly before your empty. mine turns on when it gets just under an eighth tank per the gauge maybe a little lower. my experiences with other 2is cars I've wrenched on were about the same.

Same here, light comes on when it indicates around 25-30 miles is left. Nothing really to worry about.

Same, mine came on last night right at 30 miles. I actually prefer it comes on before its empty lol.

Agreed. Mine does it too, right about 30 miles until empty.

I would love if someone would chime in with exactly how many miles you have until your "stall out empty mileage" after the light turns on . I know when I had my 09 tundra with 5.7L it was well known in the forums that you got roughly 60 miles after the light turned on until you were dead on the highway even though the mileage till empty said 30 miles when the light came on. Not like I ever run my vehicles that low but it would be nice to know just is case of emergency or something
