FYI my 2009 250 does not have that "daytime" option either. Maybe it was an earlier models only. Mine does turn black at night though as long as illumination dial isn't all the way on. Good luck!

 

that "Day Mode" option is only available/ show up when its dark out side. During the day, I can't find it either....

 

I would have already checked the fuses.. but I didnt think I could have done something to pop one.. Also I did not know where the fuse box was located.. and I looked up the fuse layout diagram sticker on google images and it was far too abbreviated to make sense. I was intimidated that I might pull a fuse that would reset or erase something important.

ANYWAY it was a fuse! Sorry for not checking it sooner guys. It is the 7.5amp "panel" fuse.

Glad you got it figured out! When you start adding additional electrical devices/accessories into a vehicle that it didn't originally come with, you find yourself with such electrical gremlins at times.
