Hey Guys,
I am apart for the R&D team for a car audio company called NVX. We just released our vehicle specific upgrade for the second generation IS250/350/ISF. You guys should check it out its awesome and yes I have one in my own car :) Below is a link to one of our online retailer and a few pictures of my personal car. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...13-VCW104.html INSTALLATION MANUAL http://assets.sonicelectronix.com/im...ual_111814.pdf |
Kinda too late for that now :(

I can appreciate the box, as it is super clean and a quality piece; but at that price-point, might scare away most audiophiles. Have you been able to measure the internal box cu in/ft?
|
this wont sell if that sub is in there and that price.
|
The enclosure is .80 cubic feet and is designed for our woofer. All of our Vehicle Specific enclosures are made in house in the USA. The feedback that we have received from our customers has been positive and It is a great complement to the factory audio system. We also manufacture a box for the Tesla model S using the same driver and we can hardly keep up with the demand.

something like that i would pay $300,

When you say you'd pay $300 I assume you mean just for the box? I assume the rest included in the kit is priced fine? I love how it doesn't waste any precious trunk space!
What I'd really like to ask NVX as well as anyone who might know otherwise: if I simply setup a sub & sub amp like this, would it remove the load of powering a sub from my factory system and thereby increase headroom? In other words, can I increase the volume of the rest of the system slightly even if I don't actually want MORE bass but simply more headroom in my bass and possibly 10-20% louder possibly volume for my whole Mark Levinson system? People constantly complain about the factory stock Mark Levinson system's power in IS-Fs, and I'm really confused. Just picked up a 2008, and at times when I'm at a red light I feel embarrassed about the ridiculous amount of bass that is probably annoying everyone else at the light! The system is really close to all I need, but just needs that bit of headroom. (At home, for example, I'm running a 5.1 system with over 850 watts of power!! The amplifiers alone weigh over 100lbs, not counting my receiver, and I could never turn it past 40%... maybe 50% for a few minutes. When the system is that under-stressed, it produces such clean incredible sound.) |
Looks like the whole is $900 that includes the sub, box, amp, converter and cables... I think it is a little bit on the expensive side.
