Sounds like it could be a water pump bearing going bad. Any coolant leaks?

Doesn't appear to be any coolant leaks. I'll definitely check in the morning then take it to the dealership

Sounds like the water pump. The bearings can still go bad without any signs of leaks.

^Yeah, these factory installed water pumps have been the worst for 2IS owners. Mine was replaced at only 27k miles!

Glad I was able to get it fixed before anything serious happened.

Glad it worked out, I'm curious, how many miles did you have on your 350?

Yeah I actually remember this noise right after I bought my car before I took It to the dealer for the carbon buildup .... while she was there I had them do the spark plugs And the water pump..... That's confirms it was the pump

I actually started noticing the sound shortly after i bought my car too. About a week after I bought the car I took it to the dealership to get some maintenance and I asked them to inspect the water pump. Service adviser told me the water pump and everything is good. I could hear the bearings off and on but it eventually bothered me enough to do research. Glad I did get it replaced though.
