2006 Is250 ML Sport. 38,000 miles

Not sure why my auto lock and security don't work. I usually get out of my car and walk away assuming it would lock. I know it auto locks since I locked my fob in the cup holder the first day I got it. But now It doesn't Ill go to the gym and when I come back the cars unlocked.....

Other thing is... Ill roll one window down, lock the car, place the key inside my home, and then unlock the car via the inside handle. This use to set the alarm off but now it doesn't...

Should note that the car was bought without the nav unit since it was stolen. I replaced it with a 2007 ML unit which works great. Even the security light flashes but doesn't work.

I currently have it set to Lock doors at 12mph and unlock when placed in park. I like those and would like to keep it that way.

Honestly, I'd NEVER trust an auto-lock function. I always hit the button the handle after I shut the door behind me.

 

I always do that now. but I want to know why it won't do it anymore and why my alarm won't go off.

 

Hmmmm weird, disconnect battery over night let the system reset.
