[HELP] Condensation in headlamp
Hi folks,
I'm sure it's been asked before, but I was not successful finding a legacy thread. I've noticed I have condensation in my passenger headlamp.
I've installed HIDs and LED wedge bulbs and did not have any problems with condensation (this was back in January, 2014 I believe). I did have to go back in and replace some burnt out/flickering wedge bulbs, and my DRL's - since then is when I noticed the condensation, so guessing something happened during that time I worked on the vehicle.
Any advise, thoughts, comments, suggestions are always welcome!

Holy cow, that's a lot of condensation. Check your rubber grommets where you drilled the headlamp caps. Sometimes the grommets inside aren't seated properly. Another thing is check your HID bore spot through the cover. Make sure it is SEALED.
I had condensation before too, and I ended up taking a hairdryer and attaching a hose to it and taking out all the bulbs on a hot sunny day, letting the hot air dry the inside completely before I put everything back in. Depending on how long the condensation has been there, there will be residue.
Make sure when you put the grommets back in the cap, you put some kind of grease or silicone grease (I forget what it's called, but it's like Vaseline) to keep moisture out. I would also apply liberally around the grommet you drilled into the cap of the light as well.
Good luck!
