Default is250 HID Installation question

Hello guys, I'm new to this forum and hope to find some helps

I just received my H11 xtreme HID from xenondepot and have few questions about the installation.

1. The kit come with wire harness that connects to the 12v battery, do I need to use that or can I just connect to the factory headlight harness without using it?

2. Isn't the factory headlight harness already proving power to ballast/igniter, then why would it need additional power from the battery?

btw it's 11 is250

Thank you very much

The harness comes with a additional relay + fuse, to safeguard the oe harness from melting. It isn't necessary to use it.

Also the cool thing about slim ballast is that you can stuff them into the OE halogen housing no problem.

They're sponsoring the clublexus forums and also, they're really reliable. Been working great for the last 2 months, no problems. My oem headlight is factory HID so I didn't need a full kit though

Xtreme kits come with a relay automatically but using it on the Lexus is optional. The kit would work fine if you were to connect to the factory wiring. Some vehicles are pickier than others but the Lexus it will work fine without it. The advantage of the relay is the power comes right off the battery which is a stable 12V source.
