Look I want to do some audio upgrades in my car but I am totally unfamiliar with car audio systems. I have the navigation system in my car and would like any upgrade to work with that system. Would any upgrades that will keep the car looking stock as much as possible be possible? If so what upgrade would you suggest?

Am I wasting my time? Stock system isn't that bad but I love music.

I have an amp and sub hooked up to my stock stereo.....just have to buy an extra part. I'm lazy, I just paid $100 plus parts for my local stereo shop to install everything.

Well yea bc it is a 12" subwoofer I love bass so it's perfect for me.....everything else to me is perfect stock (door speakers, etc.). I also have an adjustment for my amp so I can adjust the settings on it remotely. I'll snap a pic later.

The stock mid and high are very good already so I only upgrade the low. I added JL Audio 500/1 amp and 3W3V3 sub. I think many other members have good reviews on the JL Audio too. I personally liked it so much.

After MUCH thought about gutting the entire system and install high-end components I ultimately decided to just add a high-quality amp+sub. Pics and product info below.

Good job and i'm glad you go with this route! You will enjoy the JL Audio sub for yearsssssss!!! The W3 will provide very high quality bass and you will appreciate it much more when you play variety of different music.

I like your stealth set up too. I should have done that
