winters are hard in the dakotas, a normal snow day is like 5 feet in a day. not really looking to tweak this car other than maybe engine to make it more powerful. is it a nice rider though? or is it a bit bumpy?

I have an 09 IS250 AWD and I loved it! I drive a lot for work and I put 118k on it before I got a new car a few weeks back. I know the Dakotas, my sister lives in Minot. I would DEFINITELY get AWD. I would never go back. I do like the 350 for the extra power but they didn't make them with AWD back then. Tweaking it you'll find it hard to do. There isn't much out there to mod. It is a stiffer ride than the ES350 I just got, but you need to expect that a little in the IS models. I just put new brakes on at Lexus, new oil change, tires have about 500 miles on them, Black/Black leather, all options, NAV etc. I've never modified my car and if you buy one you'll be very happy with it. I can't see ever buying a car other than Lexus again. At least as a daily driver. Good luck with the purchase! I'll be posting mine soon!

My IS250AWD is still for sale! No salvage title, one owner!
I agree with Swiper though! Not much for legroom in the back! It didn't really matter often but just seemed like a PITA (Pain In The A**). I do have a lot of customers that ride with so I'm glad to change out to the new ES.

I was just on my way to the movies with my daughter when the VW gti/vr6 I front of me heard my exhaust and wanted to give it a go. I don't normally race, especially with my daughter in the car... But I gave it a go... ( just a little bit, up to 80) Well, he smoked me... Along with a brand new F150 ford truck... At that point I was wishing I had a IS 350 instead!!! 😔😔😔😔😔
