Default Finally Buying Wheels...

Well my tires need to be replaced on my stockies, so I'm finally just going to buy new wheels & tires rather than putting fresh tires on my OEM wheels... I think I have settled on the Ground Force GF07 Wheels. I really liked them when they came out and I think they look great on this IS.

These wheels can be ordered with custom offsets, so I need a little help choosing the best specs.

I want to have a nice fitment that does not look sunken in, but nothing that will create issues for a DD. I am OK with rolling my fenders, but that is all I am willing to do to make these wheels fit (ie no pulling or excessive camber).

Here is how my car currently sits (lowered ~1.75")...

I am OK with running a very minor stretch, but I need enough sidewall to take a slight beating as the roads around here are not great due to our crappy winter we just had. I am considering the following tire sizes, but would really appreciate recommendations for tire size & offset.

19x8.5 front w/ 235/35 tires (already have these tires, bought them used for a steal)... offset?
19x10.5 rear w/ 265/30 tires? 275/30?... offset?

I am hoping to purchase wheels in the next few days, so any advice is greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

19x10.5 go with +45 and you be good with either tire size. Front you can go with +35

I really like this type of fitment... flush enough to look aggressive, and still enough tire.

Recommendations for such a fitment with 8.5 front and 10.5 rear?

With the tires you have, you should go +35 all around. Btw the car in the link you posted is mine and you messaged me on instagram lol

With the 235/35 and 8.5 width tires in the front, I would go with a +28 to +32 ish offset.
In the rear do a +30 to +35 ish with a 10.5 width and either tire works fine

That's my buddy Dexter's white IS. I could text him for his specs.

With 8.5+30, You will rub with a 235/35/19 if you're too low

Id go with a +35 offset or run a 225/35 tire.

I rub the bumper support tab (its the metal piece that the plastic bumper bracket mounts to) on big dips and that's the exact setup I'm running. (8.5+30 w/ 235/35)

^I know it's your car

Do you think I will rub in the rear with a 10.5+35 and a 275/30? Will I have to roll front & rear fenders, too? (just wanting to plan ahead of time so I can get it taken care of before I order the wheels)

^Awesome, thanks for the advice!!

^I'd be interested to know the exact specs, I know the LC818's come with a 10 +38, but I remember seeing that the car in the photo also had spacers though I don't recall how much they were spaced out. Thanks!

^I already have 235/35 tires for the front so those are what I will be running for now, so I suppose a +35 would be the best choice. Do you have your fenders rolled with your 8.5 +30 setup? I know people modify the bumper bracket - I haven't ever seen a technical "How-To" on that... is it easy/needed?

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help!!

I'm not talking about the bumper tab, I'm talking about the piece of metal that's more towards the middle of the wheel well, and The plastic bumper support mounts to that. I'll try and get pics later.

And yeah, I'm running no bumper tab / fenders rolled. You shouldn't have a problem with a +35 offset though! If you do need to modify the tab, its fairly easy.

8.5 +30 235/35 (possible fender liner rubbing)
10.5 +40 275/30 (no rubbing with rolled rears)

Zero out the camber in the rear and leave the front on natural camber. I had planned to do this with my previous wheels (8 +37 235/35 and 10.5 +43 275/30) but I ended up selling them before I bought my camber correction kits and rolled my fenders. I can post pics of my old setup if you like? I'm a little lower than you though.

Gotcha - pics would be great. I guess I haven't looked around in the wheel well enough to know there is another piece of metal towards the center of the wheel well.

^You suggesting to zero out the camber just to provide a fuller look in the rear? I wasn't planning on adjusting the camber.

Would love to see pics of your old setup with those specs

Not the best picture, but hopefully it helps. I'll try and snap a better one later!

The red arrow points to where the bumper tab used to be (I circled the area)

The orange arrow points to where I rub. I only started rubbing after I lowered it some more (to a ~less than 1 finger gap)

Yeah exactly, just to fill out the rear.

Front: 19x8 +37, 235/35/19

Rear: 19x10.5 +43, 275/30/19

This is with natural camber at that height, after an alignment with the OEM equipment. The top half of the sheet were the readings before the alignment, the bottom is after.

Thanks for the pics!

The rear looks pretty good... do you think I could go with a +35 and still fit a 275/30 with only a fender roll? or should I go with +40? Is the 5mm more even going to make a visual difference?

Updated Specs
Front: 19x8.5 +35 with a 235/35 tire
Rear: 19x10.5 +40 with a 275/30 tire

Just want to make sure that these will give me a good, flush look and will only need a fender roll.

Thanks for all the help!

I think you can do +35 in the rear and it still wouldn't rub on natural camber, as long as your fenders were rolled (mine were not, and I had no rubbing issues in the rear at all).
