it won't fully open.. did some more looking around online.. pressed and held the dial (in the push auto position) for 10-15 sec approximately and it closed and stayed closed... probably won't open it again until i'm standing beside a lexus service technician

Mine did that randomly once in 3yrs. Luckily I remembered the fix and held the button down...and it fully closed.

Same here. I had this issue, and I used a compressed air can to spray in the tracks, and then sprayed some WD-40 in there. Also, spray WD-40 on a rag, and wipe around the rubber seal around the sunroof glass. Once I was able to get it closed, then fully opened in the slide position, I wiped the tracks thoroughly, again with a rag with WD-40 on it.

I couldn't get this to work from the tilt position.

^Mine happened while FULLY open; closed about 3/4ths of the way, and then fully retracted back. Never had an issue with the glass while in the "tilt" position.

Default Do the reset

I just "fixed" mine with the reset. It was a bit tricky. With the roof open, you have to hold down the auto button (not just click it). When the roof gets 3/4, it will reopen, but do NOT let go the auto button. Keep holding it down. The roof will open all the way but will start to close again and should close all the way.

This is what happened with mine. At first, I (prematurely) let the auto button go when the roof started to reopen. A few times later, I gave up. This was several days ago. I decided to retry tonight and just didn't let go this time and it worked like a charm.

Good luck.
