After market HID's
Hey guys I have an 07 IS 250 with halogens and I want to put some aftermarket HID's in...Just wondering if I install the plug and play ones, if they will flicker? or do I need the CANBUS HID kit?
thanks! Andrew |
Don't think you will have flickering problems. Just install a good high quality HID kit and you should be fine.

We have sold many kits to Club Lexus forum members with the IS. You won't have any problem with flickering on our XenonDepot HID kits. The IS doesn't require canbus adapters and our kits are completely plug and play. John |
^^^ Go with these guys! I just bought HID low beams, and LED fogs, parking lights, and Hi beams, installed them all in a day, and they look great. Please check out my post on the before and after pics:

As long as you get a good quality kit you will be fine :)
I have no experoence with Xenon Depot personally but I will definietely check you guys out in the future. Another option you could check out is The Retrofit Source. I have had many kits in my time and I am by far the most satisfied with the Morimoto kit from them. Stay away from anything cheap....you will burn through ballasts fast and in the end you could have gotten a quality product with the money you spent anyways. |
Totally agree man. Picked up a few sets Morimoto XB35. Haven't had a chance to install. Went with 5000k, most lumen output. 35watts safer and less heat.

^ 5000k is the best imo......I had 6000k on my Subaru and I liked it at first but the blueish hue started to annoy me. The bright white is definitely better at night for me.
