Default Got my flat bottom steering wheel. Quick review.

Ordered directly from DCT and got my new flat bottom sport steering wheel in full black leather and black stitching within 2 days. Well it helps that they are also in CA.

Well here it is, unboxed. Stitch quality is very good, OEM quality stitching actually. Leather feels high quality but not as soft as the OEM wheel.

Fit quality is spot on, everything bolted up perfectly like original except the holes to screw in the side volume and phone controls were not threaded for some reason. I had to use a small bolt and nut to secure it on. Other than that little install snag, everything went textbook smooth. Did the swap in under 45 minutes. Hardest part was removing the wheel without a puller, I just smacked it on both sides while yanking and it eventually came off.

The new wheel feels pretty good in the hand especially in the 9-3 position it's a little thicker than the original wheel which I was after. I was kinda disappointed it wasn't thicker, I missed the M-TECH steering wheel on my 335i which I thought was just about perfect. I'm still getting used to the new shape, it definitely looks cool. Feels like I can manhandle the wheel on a road course and it won't slip out, it feels much more grippy. Overall, I give it a B rating as a mod. Would be A+ if it was thicker.

Unboxed.

Stock wheel.

Threw in an IS-F steering damper while I was in there.

The finished product!

Thanks fellas, I paid $500 shipped. Had to pay CA sales tax, so if you guys are out of state you'll pay a little less.

Disappointed to hear it wasn't as thick as the mtech steering wheel. I used to have the e92 m3 steering wheel on my 335i and loved it. Can't seem to find anything like that for the lexus.

i also ordered one 6 months ago. i love it. one of my fav mods. got it with the carbon fiber top which makes for a much better grip. one of my fav mods. makes u feel like you have much better control of the steering wheel. make sure to add the steering damper at the same top to reduce road / steering vibration. made a world of a difference to me

I loved mine also. I had the carbon top and bottom. Great quality produce. There is no other option for a wheel out there.

Love mine, I got the carbon top blue stitch. I can confirm it is much nicer to throw around in the twisties than the stock, you really can grip and rip this one. Drove a stock IS the other day and will never go back to the OEM it feels cheap after this one. Also the leather is not as soft because it is perforated, and BRAND NEW!! It'll soften up the more you use it. Enjoy!
