Default IS250 steering wheel loose on left turns

Hey guys,
So on my 07 IS250, I noticed my steering wheel isn't completely straight when I drive. It pulls to the right. When I make a right turn the steering wheel tightness feels normal. When I make a left turn it feels a bit loose and easier to turn. Recently had all my tires replaced and alignment done. The problem still continued. Had alignment checked from another place and they say it is perfectly fine. Any ideas on what the problem might be?

The first part of your issue with the pulling to the right seems to be a "common" Lexus issue (even after an alignment; happened to me and I even created a thread about it.)

Now, about the looseness; I'd remove the front left wheel and check ALL of the bushings and steering linkage. The rack is electric, not hydro...if you didn't know.

GL!

This week my steering became noticeably lighter all of a sudden. I'm sure of it, because I take the same tight turns through my work parking garage day in and day out.

I figured since our steering stiffness is electronically controlled, it couldn't hurt to disconnect my battery for awhile and hopefully reset the steering ECU.,,I tried it and all I know is that my steering stiffness was back to normal levels on the first drive after reconnecting my battery and since then. You might want to give it a shot for your problem as well.

Has anyone else verified whether or not disconnecting a battery can reset the steering ECU and affect steering stiffness or calibration? It seems to have worked for me, or it's super high coincidence.

I noticed when my battery is almost completely dead my steering improved because there was no power steering, but the downside was my tachometer flickered on and off.
