Lost numerous lip kits, What kind of screws/mount do you use to rig up your front lip
Sup guys,
So I've already lost about 2 Vertex rep lips (thankfully so cheap) due to spirited driving with a combination of poor mounting. So I'm going to be getting another one of these soon and was curious what you guys use to mount each end of the lip to your bumper?
The bumper has hardly any room to mount thick screws and some of these reps aren't secure on the underbody of the car like the authentic ones (and nextmod version) so your pretty much limited to mounting on each side of the wheel well.
What kind of special screws, or mounting hardware do you use to keep your lips attached to your car? My last lip was lost due to bottoming out so hard that the screw itself shot out and eventually I dragged it until I ran it over and wrapped around my lower control arm (Poly). Is there some sort of clips i can screw into to prevent the screw from unraveling itself out due to YOLO driving?
Any tips on mounting hardware is really appreciated.
EDIT: ADDED PHOTO, The bumper lips inside the wheel well are so thin/small It's difficult to mount it securely with just end screws.

i use bolts and nyloc nuts. In addition, i use a ridiculous amount of 3m tape.
The nuts are self locking because they include a nylon collar insert that prevents the bolts from loosening over time. I was able to find these suckers for cheap at many local hardware stores, but i'm not sure if they are reusable. Once you put them on, I think they stretch the nylon into place.
My undergrad school was near a sketchy neighborhood and i was paranoid about people stealing my stuff. Together this combo makes it impossible for me to take off my lip and sideskirts now. I tried to remove my lip once to clean it, and realize it would break in half before i could pull it off.

I like the idea of reinforced bolts. Don't they have something that works similar with tappering screws? Something that the screw goes into that reinforces it so it doesn't turn? I recall it being a little metal square tab that the screw goes through. Not sure what these little hardware pieces are called though.
EDIT: Something similar to the S clips in our cars but less... dramatic. Just the ends of the S clip is ideal, something I can hold while screwing in to reinforce the screw from turning. If that makes sense.

just standard screws were used to mount my vertex lip and im sure there is double sided tape in there too. but this thing has been as sturdy as they come and ive scraped plenty of times with how low i am. but then again like you said in the first post, i have the authentic vertex lip and it goes way under the the bumper for mounting.
i didnt know the rep lips didnt do that as well. my vertex front and sides go way under the car, it also makes it a PITA to jack up the car because they go so far under lol. but you see its super snug against the bumper

@InspireME I've used double sided tap on the center of the lip that attached to the bumper but other than that only two tappering screws on each end.
@Alan are you referring to putting double sided tap around the areas of the lip or only on the edges where the tappering screws mount to the bumper?
