90k service on IS350
I took the car today to an independent Lexus mechanic.
They say that on top of the regular stuff that needs done,
He needs to flush the transmission fluid and there is some carbon buil up that needs cleaning. This is a 2006 350.
Are those legitimate concerns?
I have also done last week the Cam gear recall and he says that the alternator is covered in oil.

Tranny flush you can really only flush about 15% of the fluid with a pressurized system. Lexus calls it a lifetime fluid although many CL members tend to have the service done at one point or another. I have only heard the carbon buildup issue on the 250s where they eventually do the rebuild but no issues for the 350. i have the 06 350 myself

he probably googled common problems but didn't delve into differences btw 250's and 350's. When they opened up my engine for the valve spring and then the cam gear recall the valves were so clean you could eat off them.
