Took my awd IS250 to the dealership today for my oil change and my warranty check up and what not, and decided to inquire about some parts while I was there because I knew some things were needing to be replaced. One being the passenger side front axle...I've known for a while it's been bad and I don't know if you've tried to get them from a parts store but they don't carry them at all. Anyway, I knew it would be expensive since it was coming from the dealership, but they told me it would be $1100. For one axle!!!! WHAT!!! Do they make any aftermarket front axles? Any suggestions? I asked if I could just buy the boot instead but he said it'd still be $550 just for that! Ridiculous. Advice, please!

Your only other option is second-hand ones from a parts yard. You familiar with LKQ? Where in SC are you?

Oh, well then you should have several yards around the city. Maybe not just LKQ, but check the web.
