Help!

Was in my car with the music on (not the engine) slowly the music started to die off.... tried to start car and NOTHING. Made a strange noise. Got a friend to jump it & boom it was fine.

A couple of weeks later, the same thing happens... take it to AutoZone to check the battery, battery is fine!

This morning my car wouldn't even unlock with the key had to manually unlock it....... Tried to start my car & NOTHING. :confused::confused::confused::confused:

What should I do?

I think your alternator is starting to go! one way to check is once you get your car started disconnect the battery is the car dies then your alternator in shock!

How old is your Car Battery? it sounds as if your battery is not holding a charge. I have had the same issue every 2-3 years when the Oem battery decides to die. Easiest way to check is to take the battery out and take it to a auto zone and have them check the battery. I am not sure if they can check it out with out removing the battery from the vehicle but you can call and ask.

I took the car to auto zone and they said the battery was fine..

Now the car is just sitting in the driveway refusing to start.

When I try to push to start, no sound or anything and just the blinkers come on.

Maybe it's the other way around.... your remote/keyfob battery is dead.

Have you tried touch the keyfob to the start button, and then try starting the car ?

Batteries can be very fickle sometimes. I bought a brand new batter that was bad about 4 months ago. I always take new batteries home to fully charge since they sit on shelves for a while sometimes. After install it worked great, but 2 days later it would not start. After jumping off it was fine until the next morning. I charged battery again, installed, and went straight to advanced auto with it. They tested in the car and said it was fine, and just needed to be fully charged, or that my car was draining somewhere. Long story short it took leaving the battery with them for 3 days. Then they finally told it had a bad cell like I originally thought. next battery was put in and all is good. Hope this helps.

its the battery...especially rechargeable ones. They all tend to give false readings. If the vehicle is under warranty call the 1800 Lexus corporate number. Get roadside assistance, have the vehicle towed to your closest dealer. If they determine it's the battery, it shall be replaced free of charge:)

Since it's 2008, it's most likely not under warranty. It could still be the battery depending on how old it is. If it's not the battery, you can check the alternator is charging your battery with the right amount of voltage with a multimeter.

for either test you are going to have the car running so get someone to give you a jump and then do either test depending on what tools you have. To disconnect the battery all you need is a 10mm wrench to undo the terminals and to do the load test you are going to need a multimeter. Either the wrench or multimeter can be purchase at Auto Zone or Advance Auto part or NAPA or whatever is close to you. I hope you find and solve the problem. It'll be easier if you were from New Jersey, someone would've already helped you with your problem!

probably your battery how long has it been since u got a new one?

Eventually you are going to need a new battery since it's been getting drained every time you get the car started. Batteries can be drained so many times before the cell go bad and then your battery is pretty much useless
