Default IS350 100% city gas mileage

Here is the real gas mileage with the IS350 driving in the city 100%. Literally stop and go. Not with a heavy foot either. My car shifts around 2k-2.5k RPM.

I never trust that thing. Counts down when your idling, stop lights etc. Ill reset it on the freeway in long trips, got 28mpg+. City is hard to gauge.

It is pretty accurate from what I understand with a +/- 1MPG error. And why shouldn't idling and stop light not count? Technically you are still using gas at those moments.

I drive city only as well, and oddly enough, my current tank of gas is at 15.5 mpg. I get between 15-17mpg per tank all city driving.

That MPG is normal for 100% city driving.

I get around that MPG around 15-16 mpg for 80-90% city driving. If it's more than half on highway...I get 25-27 mpg. Idling decreases the reading like crazy which makes me wonder how accurate it actually is...

I think this is the worst tank AVG I ever had. And I had my car for nearly 6 years.

Looks right to me. LA traffic, stop and go on city streets with mild freeway driving during rush hour.

My wife drives her IS350 to/from downtown Minneapolis daily and averages 22-24 mpgs, I've honestly never seen it go under 20 MPG.

My isf tank avg is 11-13 mpg all ny driving so I believe the op's mpg is accurate if traffic is as bad as NYs.. My average speed is only 11mph. NY traffic is really bad and you are always in true stop and go traffic. City driving has a different meaning for each individual.

depends on when you last reset it. the longer you leave it the less effected it should be when you sit and vise versa. if your sitting still burning gas that's 0 miles per gallon as your aren't moving.
