Default IS250 AWD, 27k miles for a IS350, 60k miles?

So I've had my IS250 AWD for 6 months, I bought it CPO. I love it but need more power and I do not need the AWD. So I've been looking and a 60 k mile 350 popped up at the dealer for $26k, mines worth $24.5k trade in.

They are basically the same car with a different interior color and ventilated seats instead of just heated. Seems like it would be a good straight up trade but I'm not sure about the miles. What do you all think?

what year is the is350? that's a pretty high price for the is350. I was considering selling mine and i listed at $20k; I have 80k miles.

Going with the 350 gets you 102 horse power more and will negate many expensive mods that will try to keep the 250 up. 350 is the way to go if you want speed. Don't take a bath trying to make the transition though.....

Sorry. My 250 is a 2010 but the 350 is a 2009

So if that's a high price, do you think I could propose a even trade?

My main concern is the high miles... But is that really that high?

60k miles considered high?? lol

i would be more concern on maintenance rather than miles especially with only 60k on the clock. so do your homework and find out its service history and if all checks out, DO IT!!! trust me you will be smiling from ear to ear when you floor the beast.

I recently traded my 09 250 awd with 52k miles in for a 07 350 with 60k miles . So happy I did The 250 awd wasn't that fun to drive, it just felt like a regular sedan to me. The 350 is a blast to drive! I'm covered under warranty until 125k or 2019.

That no high miles as far as value goes is that the dealer quote? Or a online calculation? Cause dealer aren't there for fair trade values. They're there to turn a profit. Let put it this way I paid 25k for my 08 luxury package cpo in 2010 with 45k odometer. So you paying 1g more and 15k more miles. So I would say bargain them down as it won't sale fast cause you're in the Northeast where demand for awd. They won't sale it that fast.

the value seems to match up but the dealer needs something to come out ahead and will probably not consider the deal. What I would do is sell the 250 privately and then go into the dealer and offer them about 5K less than the asking to start. Another tip would be to arrange your buyer to buy your car the same day as you purchase the 350 since your buyer has to pay tax any way and then you wouldn't have to!

Can you elaborate? The tax and title is something I forgot about

where Im from we pay sales tax only on the difference between the trade and the purchase. So there is an incentive to trade your vehicle for those savings and it would normally trump the private sale of your vehicle. But in this case the two cars seem to have the same value and the dealer needs to make money but may just shy away from the deal as waste a of time. Mind you they should do the deal just for customer satisfaction because doing so usually leads to repeat business not to mention word of mouth advertising!

But if you were to purchase a vehicle from this dealer and tell the sales person that you want to use your trade to do so but you have a buyer that will purchase the car at the same time the sales person benefits buy selling two cars at once and gives him\her bragging rights and gets closer to their monthly bonus, The dealer then registers the trade vehicle directly to the buyer bypassing any title to the dealer and the person purchasing the dealers car pays tax only on difference which in this case may be nothing!
