I've read that people who have swapped their 2006 is250 bumper with a 2012 version have changed their headlamp mounting brackets. apparently it is different. Just wondering how much different it is and if the original can be adjust/modified to work rather than spending on replacement brackets which just for brackets are quite expensive.

yes it is true...I'm actually doing my conversion as we speak....i have 2012 headlight with a modified mount brackets and even then it won't work with the 2012 bumper...I got my dealer down here to beat my discount price from Sewell...I paid $40 each for them. The difference is the 2012 bracket has a piece that connects at the front that attaches to a small piece on the bumper itself and the 06-08 or 09-10 bumper doesn't have it

Thanks iRyan, so you cant see any way the old one can be adapted to take the new bumper? you wouldn't happen to have pics of both side-by-side to compare would you?

Anyone have pictures of these new brackets? Does the new bumper not fit at all if attempted to install on old brackets? Just wondering if any kind of customising might work, the brackets cost around 55GBP each here which is around $80 and thats at a discounted rate. Seems very expensive just for a plastic bracket.
