Be advised previous IS 250 owners have had multiple complaints of Steering Rack issues. The steering becomes choppy and rough. Lexus TSIB have been issued. Lexus Dealerships have replaced complete steering racks on IS 250's. Lexus says new racks fix the issue. As the 1 time owner of a 2006 Lexus IS 250 my steering rack was replaced in 2009 in warrenty. However with just 84K miles the issues have resurfaced. Lexus Service is not covering the replacement which is estimated to be over $3000. Now Lexus claims impact damage but the insurance company and Lexus do not find any visable damage. Further Lexus Service just rebuilt my entire 2006 IS 250 engine due to piston cylinder oil problems. I just finished paying for the car and I need to buy a new one. Not even 100K on the vechicle. NICE!
