Talking New 07 IS250 owner :)

Hi Team.

A week ago I bough myself an IS250 with 49,000 miles (first Lexus I own). So far am a very happy owner regardless that am in the need of replacing the rear shocks. When shopping for shocks online I noticed some descriptions talk about "rear AWD or rear RWD". How can I recognize or know if my new Lexus is AWD or RWD? Also which is the best/less unexpensive site to get my rear shocks?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much! That helps....

Do you know of any website where I can get great prices on shocks for Lexus? Am currently in Panama City, Republic of Panama and the car dealer does not sell for IS.

I would check redline360.com, I've bought parts from them before and have had a good experience. They seem to have really good prices too.

Don't believe a badge, could be added or deleted. Look for the infamous AWD hump instead

Sorry for asking this stupid question but what do you mean by "infamous AWD hump"?

I dont see a huge bump on the driver side or I will say a bump that will be right at my right leg. So this means that the bump is a AWD? What does tha AWD does?

There might be a language barrier here, but AWD means All Wheel Drive. As in all four wheels are turning and powering the car. RWD is Rear Wheel Drive, where only the back wheels power the car, and the fronts just spin or are pushed.

This CL member (JETLEX) is selling rear shocks really cheap in the classifieds section. Tokico HP shocks are a good quality shock and I be leave this is the same brand that makes oem shocks for Lexus IS. These shocks go for $199 each plus shipping. Check out the link.
