wow this is awesome i def will have to get this for my is350 since my oem nav sucks plus love the fact that i can watch dvds and possibly add a tv tuner.

Does this work with the IS that already has nav? I thought it only works with non nav oem units?

I actually just bought one of these units. Don't have it installed yet. It only works on Non Nav units because the harness on the cars that come with Nav are different. The harness on the cars that already have nav have that function to change options through out the car. This one doesnt.

so does the pre 09' need the vent upgrade?

pretty much if a little 2mm gap really bothers you. It doesnt NEED it but you should get it to look flush. I have an 06 and when i install mine, i will take pics and post. I am not changing the vent because that vent is 250 bucks and im not spending that cuz i plan on keeping my OEM one

I was doing some searching on these aftermarket radios. Some had higher wattage than others, so how does this affect the factory amp?

I dont have mine installed yet because i have been crazy busy but Ive done a lot of research and before i purchased mine and i have yet to hear anyone have issues with the factory amp

Also, I don't suppose flyaudio or any one else make an aftermarket radio that supports satellite radio?
