Default Urgent Waterpump O Rings

When changing the water pump, it comes with 2 new O rings. One for the water pump and the other for the water inlet part. However, having changed everything and tried to bleed to system, it sprung a leak through the small O ring of the inlet unit. removed this unit to notice that somehow the O ring had cut on it at the bottom. The leak only sprung after coolant reached temp and was running for a while. So I can only imagine that maybe there was some kind of cut on the O ring which expanded as coolant temp went up.

it's the small O ring pictured here:

Anyway, i'm now in a dilemma, I still have my old O ring which looks in good condition, do I just use that or should I contact Lexus and see if I can get replacement O rings?

I would also wait and get them from toyota or lexus and put a very light coat of grease on them after installing.

Do it right and put the new O ring in. Otherwise you could be doing this job again if your old O ring messed up later.

Thanks for the replies guys. Getting new O rings from Lexus tomorrow. Hopefully this one goes well. I will be replacing both the small and big O rings. Even though the big O ring is new, but i had to loosen and remove the unit to access the small O ring, so best to change big O ring too.
