Yep. You may or may not need to take the brackets off your old one and put them on the new one to properly mount it.

Default Need help with steering

I all of a sudden lost steering . My gas gauge is acting weird and my speedo is not working . Does the steering computer effect those ? I just purchased the same part numbered computer and put it in but still the steering light is on and the two gauges still are not working . Any advise would help . This is a 09 is250.. this all happened right after my steering light came on just FYI

Sound like you may be having alternator problems. Check threads on power steering loss. Check your charging system with a volt meter at the battery. Is the battery light on at any given time?

There’s no battery or alternator lights . My car starts all the time with no issues . Right when the steering issue happened the very next day my speedo stopped and the gas gauge fluctuates . I replaced the ecu for the steering but hasn’t changed anything and steering lights still on

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years is that it’s almost never the steering ECU.

Even if I installed a battery reverse polarity and now the P/S goes on and off intermittently? Total bonehead move on my part, and I paid the price with a new fusible link. Now just a couple weeks later this issue with the P/S. It's also possible the alternator is going out as a result of my little mishap - it tested "bad", but no other classic alternator symptoms. So I ordered a used EPS module on ebay and I'll try that but it may be the alternator. Any thoughts??
