Default dvd nav updates

how do I update the DVD? I keep clicking eject and it says "no dvd inserted" does this mean that there is no dvd in the stock system?

Did you remove the panel so the DVD can be removed? Its behind the digital clock.

To clarify, if you dont remove that panel the dvd will sit 1/4th the way out of the slot and will then show that no DVD is in the system.

After a while it will be 'sucked' back into the nav and it will allow you to use it.

ITs SUPER easy, and no the rules of physics wont allow the DVD to pass through the solid plastic

Just do a search, if I was able to do it I am sure you can figure it out.

I'm not sure why you weren't aware. I told you so in the earlier post you made on this subject: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...questions.html

sorry I never read your reply (forgot to sub to the thread). So there is a pin in the trunk to only remove the face behind the clock? or to remove the entire panel? Seems like overkill/very inconvenient to me if you have to remove the entire panel face to get to a nav dvd.

Two pins. Should be in a pouch in the toolkit. Insert both pins tools in the small holes all the way; they push the clips that hold the panel in place out of the way. With the pins inserted, the panel comes right off.

Just go out to the car and try, sometimes it's far quicker to just try instead of asking the same questions over and over

You rather use your phone or buy a GPS to mount. I rather that them pay $200 everytime to update. My iPhone works better than the stock nav and it free.
