My 2007 IS250 has damage to the front drivers side rim and I would like to replace it. Does anyone have experience in this area?

1. Would it look obvious if I used a replica (such as those sold on eBay) instead of OEM? Especially because I will not be replacing the other three rims?
2. Alternatively, I might find someone parting out a car and buy the right rim. If you have a recommendation to such a person, I would appreciate it.

The stock IS250 wheel/rim with damage. I need to replace just one rim and need feedback on how to proceed.

I just went thru the same situation couple months ago with the same style rim. I could not located a used one so i ended up with a replica from Partsgeek.com for $159. To be honest, i can't tell the different between the rims (beside some markings on the inside). I would recommend going this route if you can't find a used OEM. Currently, there is a seller on Craigslist (bay area) selling these for $100 each. Maybe you could contact him and see if he is willing to ship?

If it's just curb rash you're worried about why don't you have a shop clean it up? If you're leaking air then you could replace OR you still can have someone cut and weld, depending where it's cracked. I'm not from that state but just do a search for wheel repair shop in your area.

I was quoted $150-$200 to fix and they wont even warranty the works.

Most of the wheels on craigslist, ebay, partsgeek, etc, are reconditioned, not replicas. If you can do without one wheel for 48 hours, just get it reconditioned at a local wheel shop - it will be a little cheaper than buying a reconditioned one from someone else (think core charge). Get some more estimates - should be about $120 including removing, refitting and balancing the tire.

Wheels from Partgeek are definitely no reconditioned. I purchased one and it clearly stamped "NOT OEM" on the inside.

Road rash you can get fixed. there are shops that can lean that up for alot cheaper than buying a new rim

I just sold a clean set of 4 OEM wheels staggered set up like this for $300 lol. I think another member is selling a very nice set for $225. Check classified, there are plenty who offers OEM wheels dirt cheap lol.
