Default Whats the best dash cam on the market?

As title states, I'm wondering whats the best dash cam currently on the market and some other alternatives? It doesnt necessarily have to be hard wired to the car. Maybe someone can throw some manufacturers of dash cams out on here. doesnt have to be super expensive.. something relatively affordable.. thanks!

Don't get turned off by the name (Chinavision) I have worked with the tech support many times and I have ordered three cameras from them as well. The shipping takes some time but its worth it.

Below is the first camera that I got from them:

Works great, clear picture and great camera for 50 bucks, it has no GPS, but I would not get one with that anyhow as I cant really see anytime where my speed would "help" me if I got into an accident.

All these cams, boot up WAY faster than the BlackVue and are in some ways better.

i have a blackvue, really happy with it. nice quality, very small and sleek, barely know it's there sometimes. It's a bit pricier but i think it's well worth it.

If you want an option that can be used in different ways, you can always just get a gopro, unless you want a more dedicated dash cam

+1 for the blackvue...I've turned over some footage to the police too about stuff I've seen in the car, great camera.

I was researching these cameras not too long ago. I like the idea of this one camera that clips onto your rear view mirror. Much cheaper than blackvue too. Only problem I see is it may block the sun visor to fully extend

No, the original mirror is still intact. The camera mirror clips onto the original mirror. The only thing you lose will be the compass.

This Chinavasion came in the mail today. After testing it out during the day and at night, I must say the video quality sucks. I cannot even get a good view of the plate of the car in front unless I pull up really close. Good thing it was only 50 bucks. Will invest on a Finevu next.

Depending on the dollar maybe I can help you out on a FineVu.

My company is the New Zealand Distributor.
