Are my shoes too small ? 18" volk te37

I originally bought this set of te37 for my is300 but I ended up getting a is350.

I didn't mind it at first but after seeing pictures of 19" on the 2is I'm starting to second guess.

What do you all think ?

Tires a bit flat in the rear too

Try slamming it first. Then see what it looks like. Otherwise they look a bit small.

projectdna 03-07-13 11:22 AM

they look fine. fitment doesn't look like an issue. i'd go w/ meatier tires - if the wheel specs can allow.

btw, they look better than other knock-off/replica wheels.

This, and add some air in that back tire.

I think if u slam it then everything should flow, u can always add some spacers. thumbs up on the authentic wheels !

with 18's on big body cars such as isx50 and gs, gotta slam it or else it looks like you got wheels that didnt fit

RyanIS 03-07-13 12:44 PM

as everyone else has said, the car will look mucher nice slammed. i am on 18's as well, mine look to be a bit wider, none the less i really like the look. thumbs up for TE-37!

Great looking rims. A little more drop would make it look a lot better.

Alias 03-07-13 01:21 PM

yah, like everyone else, slam the crap outta it so the wheel fills in the wheel well better. other than that looks all G.

Deegee 03-07-13 01:26 PM

They look great, i'd get a drop though it'll flow much nicer.

Griiix 03-07-13 01:38 PM

Im jelly :(

SCWB 03-07-13 04:28 PM

if you don't mind, try spacers on. They instanty beef up the look of your wheels. Think about it, even stock 18" wheel looks so much better with spacer and slammed. Then how well it will make your very good foundation like TE37 look better?

str8hust1a 03-07-13 05:31 PM

They look tiny! time for a upgrade! I have 19's myself and they seem quite small.
Maybe if you were to upgrade to 20s, go big or go home!

f111f444 03-07-13 10:56 PM

Doesn't matter if you go for 18, 19 or 20, if you don't lower your car it will not look good. You need to slam it first before make any decision on wheel again.

Hoovey689 03-07-13 11:22 PM

Just needs a drop. 18" is perfect for tracking

hhss 03-07-13 11:45 PM

Thanks for the input everyone.

The roads here are horrible otherwise I would, so lowering is not a option.

I might try beefier tires next time around and possibly spacers to see how it looks.

SlickRSM 03-08-13 06:12 AM

I think they do look to small and im guessing you do as well. Without a drop they just dont look right to me, I feel your pain though I have 20's with no drop but lowering a car in Buffalo NY whereI live just inst worth it

Jeff Lange 03-08-13 08:44 AM

18" is fine, but I'm not sure about your offset and tire size. What are the specs on those?

Jeff

I couldn't get a nice look at the sticker on the inside of the wheel but from what I could see it should be 18x8.5 +50 and tire size is 225/40ZR18 92Y

UniSlayEX 03-08-13 10:26 AM

Drop it. You'll be fine after. Spacers to line everything up would be a nice touch - thats on you though.

18"s are the stock size (well 350 at least) shouldnt look too different.
