DDM HID's

DDM ships their HIDs from China? This struck me as odd... has anyone else had their ddm hids shipped from any where else?

Snyperifle Feb 15, 2013 10:25 PM

Maybe shipped straight from the factory in china lol

KillaIS250 Feb 15, 2013 11:52 PM

Mine weren't from China, at least not that I remember. Mine were local from SoCal if I remember correctly. And since they have locations in SD, I don't see why it would come from China directly? lol

Offspring Feb 16, 2013 01:51 AM

Mine came from china, but returned to Cali.

Ddm isnt to bad lifetime warranty if im not mistaken

Kentchup Feb 16, 2013 03:57 AM

yeah when i got mines i got mines shipped from socal too, yeah their warranty is good but since its so cheap and so many people want then it takes a long while for them to ship your replacements out

jsmacks Feb 16, 2013 05:29 AM

GOOD LUCK on trying to get warranty service on them though!!

Tons of people have said it and I used to be a skeptic and give everyone else crap for nut hugging so bad on them, but there's a reason for it and I learned the hard way.

Forget DDM Tuning, forget iJDMToy.. go Xenon Depot all the way. Trying to save yourself $50-$60 will only hurt you in the long run when you're forced to deal with an inferior product that you're never happy with and/or defective items. Ripping your bumper back off to swap ballasts, looking like a chump with one light out or rice looking dim, blue lights.. Don't do it! Listen to me!

Spend the extra money and get something that you're stoked on, works awesome and is backed up with an actual guarantee that means something.

You'll be AMAZED at the difference a quality set of HID fogs will make! Changes your entire night driving experience. It's like flooding things with full daylight and you'll wonder how you ever lived without them in the first place.

it's only good if you're close and can walkin for warranty
my friend needed warranty but the shipping cost was more than the kit itself so he said "f***" it and bought another set local

Hoovey689 Feb 16, 2013 09:11 AM

DO NOT BUY DDM TUNING BULBS. REPEAT DO NOT BUY!! I bought 2 sets and both failed. Bought some MTechs and never looked back

Toxicxk23 Feb 16, 2013 09:30 AM

I had DDM HIDs on my Mazda 3 and now I have DDM HIDs on the IS. Been using their product for ~2 years. Never had a problem.

bob4256 Feb 16, 2013 10:40 AM

Mine came from China.

Do not buy DDM HIDs

my1s250 Feb 16, 2013 11:25 PM

first time I bought my bulb from ddm and the tracking number looked funny so I found out they where shipped from china and it took like a month and a half to come....contacted the company and never got a reply back good job DDM ....NOT~!!!!!!

I have DDM HIDs in my fogs... they work great for that purpose...

But for headlights (If you don't have HID standard) or foglights (if you don't want to cheap out and buy DDM)- Id go with something better. Morimoto makes some great HID stuff - Im running their 5000k bulbs in my headlights currently and am very happy with the quality and output
