Question F-Sport Shift **** for Automatic Transmission - Loose?

I am trying to install the F-Sport shift **** on my IS350 but it is loose and won't stay tightened, no matter how many times I turn it clockwise for minutes. I noticed when I do place the F-Sport shift **** on the stick (if that's what you call it), the F-Sport shift **** just drops as far down as it can on the stick, as if there is no twisting thread inside the F-Sport shift **** to catch on to.

I tested the shifting and I noticed the shift **** would wiggle and get loose as I shifted between P, D, and R in the driveway, so it's definitely not on tight.

I put back on the stock/factory shift **** and the stock **** does tighten as it is turned clockwise and remains perfectly tightened as I shift, so my stock shift **** stays on fine as it always did before I bought this F-Sport shift ****.

Does this sound like a defect with the F-Sport shift **** I received? Perhaps the F-Sport shift **** I received is not actually compatible with my 2011 IS350 RWD? The Sewell website says it is compatible with IS350: 2006-2013.

Didn't think I'd need instructions for something as simple as twisting on a shift ****. Interestingly, the installation instructions that came in my box were for the manual shift ****. LOL. Am I missing a step in the installation? The box itself says "automatic" and the actual F-Sport shift **** I received is the automatic one, based on the photos I saw at Sewell.

I believe it's a defect, one member here had a similar problem, and they sent him a new one, but I think the F-Sport shift **** you have now doesnt have the circular thing in the inside so it would just fall straight down instead of tighten it up.

^ If that even make sense LOL.

Sure, I added some photos. One of them is the shift **** box. The other is the F-Sport shift **** on the shift stick and it dropped down this low without any clockwise twisting. You can easily just pull it straight up and off without any kind of twisting either.

I think I get what you are saying. Sounds like a defect. If so, I'll e-mail Sewell. Just wanted to see what others here thought before I proceed since I don't expect a reply from Sewell today (Sunday).
