Default HID question

Hi everyone ..

So I recently ordered the 2012 retro headlights from Sewell
(stripped) version, meaning I have to transfer my oem ballast and bulbs from my 06 headlights with oem hid and AFS..
But one of my oem ballast has been acting weird and need to be replace..

Question
Can I just run an aftermarket hid kit that vendors sells with my 2012 retro headlights?
Or do I need to use the oem hid kit?..

Thanks in advance..

You'll need an OEM ballast for this application.

what do you mean your oem ballast is acting weird...does your driver's headlight turn off after like 5 minutes? and why do you suspect the ballast?

I would get an OEM ballast.

I just ordered the stripped version (my had came stock with halogens) and ordered the OEM ballasts and Philips D4S bulbs
