Default heater smell ?? 06 is250

wsup CL !


everytime i start up my ride and blast the heater it smells like burning cigarettes..has anyone ever had that problem??

Spray Lysol in the intake duct on the outside of your windshield with the heater on high

just ordered 2 filters from ebay i have a feeling its that if its not i have a new filter anyways lol thanks!

FYI the smell isnt from the cabin filter, althought it would be nice to do that once you fix the problem. Your cause of the smell is your battery, if its still the panasonic battery that comes with it. I had a similar situation, and decided to find out what it was one weekend, and figured out that the battery that comes with all the isx50's were panasonic water base batteries. Needless to say its about time for you to change ur battery, and replace ur cabin filter

That guide doesn't have it pointed out but MAKE SURE you put the air in recirculate mode BEFORE doing anything with the cabin filter. If you go to change it and the air isn't in recirculate mode - its an expensive fix.

haha i found out why it smells every time i smoke in the car i open the door *so the engine can warm up* it sucks up the smoke and i guess it blows out later when i turn it back on
