JoeZ intake Vaccum Leak
I've had my JoeZ installed for a while now. This morning I had a check VSC light on. Car drove normally however the light never went out. Only thing i noticed with the car is that I lost my JoeZ intake growl noise. So decided to take apart the plastic engine covers and noticed the small hose that connects from the engine to the JoeZ intake with the factory clip was loosely moving about and the factory clip seems to have lots it tension. So i took it out and replaced with a Jubilee clip and went through the process of disconnecting battery and resetting everything. It's all good now and the intake noise is back to normal.
My question is, is it normal to have oil going through that pipe? i thought the intake pipe was just for air?

that's the same hose but i had a clamp on the top but this time had to put a clamp on the bottom section where the hose joins with the engine. Not sure why there is oil coming from the pipe though

After clamping down the hose that was loose and resetting everything by removing battery terminal, i went for a 1hr drive today at first the car was very responsive but randomly towards the end of the journey i noticed it started becoming sluggish again when i put my foot down to accelerate it would take time to react. So, I put it on Park and turned on ECT PWR and then it became responsive again.
Could i still have a vaccum leak somewhere? or could the ECU still be re-learning?

I noticed oil on that hose too when I installed my F-Sport Intake. All I know is that the hose is connected to the valve cover and intake. I think the hose is connected to intake so it can cool down the oil also? I don't know. Maybe that's the residue when your car is turn off after you take it for a drive.

different car but same concept. i have an isf and noticed some oil residue in my intake manifold. with blow by...oil can go into the intake manifold through the vacuum lines. so instead of an oil catch can...i installed inline filters to the vacuum lines to catch any oil preventing it from entering the intake manifold.
