So far they look good. I'm not sure if I really like the 6000k though.

I might get the real ones in 5000k
They may look good but the lumens output maybe actually lacking, especially when it comes to rain. With the genuine article you will notice the lumens 's is very good.

If you are investigating, I would say file a claim and get the $100 back to an innocent person, that person is getting burned $100.

As per the genuine ones in 5000K, you maybe disappointed because has a bit of yellowness to them. If you do not want that, then the 6000K would be the way to go because the actual kelvin is around 5800K.

Fakes end up destroying the market for genuine products. Cost is close to what you paid for a pair on ebay... Unless someone is on ebay trying to lose money it makes zero sense for them to be selling the pair for that cheap. I've ordered from ebay vendors selling Fake philips bulbs just to see what they ship out. Be very careful.... many ebay vendors have pictures of genuine products but end up sending out fakes... caveat emptor

Yeah they will suffer a ton on light output. There has been three members here that have taken one for the team already. They look great for replicas too dam good in my own option. Take another hundred and you got the real deal with no color shift and lumens on point. You will suffer down the line when they all turn to a bluish white. I say throw some output shots I bet they will be ok.

Your best bang for the buck if you are looking for high quality aftermarket D4S bulbs would be the XenonDepot D4S HID bulbs. I know i'm biased but they are the best aftermarket D4S bulbs we have ever sold. We have tried numerous different supplies and none have come close in terms of quality. If you use the "CLGB08" coupon code you end up paying $99.98 shipped within the continental USA - hard to beat that.

Does Phillips even make 5000k in D4S? Or only 6000k?

I don't think that they do. Their 4300k bulbs color shift to 4700k once they fully color shift. We do carry XenonDepot 5000k D4S bulbs which have been a VERY popular seller on this board.

Can you show me a source? (Philips website, catalogue, etc). I can't locate it anywhere.

As you can see the price, there is no way for $100 you will get a pair of real philips bulbs.

I shop on amazon for the fast free shipping if your a prime member, and this bulb came across. I figure amazon won't be selling fakes. It's sold by per bulb. But I don't think $50 is bad for each bulb.

(Not endorsing amazon, just a custumer of theirs)

Well - I've decided that 6000k just isnt bright enough, real or fake.

I guess I'm headed toward 5k somewhere. Thanks for the advice, I'll prob just put the stock ones back in for now!
