2009 IS250 - Phonebook transfer trouble
Apologies if I'm just a newb and can't use the search but I tried- I swear!
So I just bought a CPO 2009 AWD IS250 and the tech guy at the dealer was getting it set up for me but couldn't get my phonebook to transfer. I have an iphone4s and navigation.
For this phone/car combo do I really need to transfer all my contacts to a different phone to get it to sync or is that an old solution and there's something better now? That's so dumb- not to mention annoying when I put new contacts in my phone.
Thanks

Thanks for the response.
I thought maybe there was something else because the tech guy was confused when it wouldn't transfer. You'd think he would know about these things! I'm surprised an iphone app doesn't exist to facilitate the transfer.

it's odd I know, despite the "Transfer Phonebook" button. There was a sony ericsson phone in the past that was compatible but that was it. Unfortunately bluetooth technology before 2010 though not antiquated, was pretty limited in what it could do. The 10-12 you still have to hit transfer for a phonebook (at least that works), but all 13+ now syncs up both contacts and bluetooth audio.

I also had the same problems with my 09. The dealer told me that I could sync it with my iPhone but when I got home nothing would happen. :/ I did what Hoovey2411 said, I just entered my main contacts that I call.
