Default Need advice from you pros on lowering is350 on 20s

hey guys, I tried looking around the threads, but I had no luck. I just got my new wheel set up on my car. I got the vossen cv3s, 20x9 up front and 20x10.5 rears. I believe the offsets are 38 up front and 45 in the rear. I purchased H&R lowering springs at the same time I purchased the wheels. I went to get my brakes checked at brake masters and they told me that the drop was way to lower for my car. So some advice from you pros would be appreciated! Tires are 245/30/20 front and 275/30/20 rear.
Thanks in advance if anyone can help me on some info!

no, you should be fine with those offsets from everything i read on this forum. the offsets are conservative and the drop is not that low. search for H&R springs and you'll come across many threads of these cars lowered with them sitting on 19" and even 20" wheels. you just can't go with super low offsets without fender modifications. not sure what the offset limit is though.

and i never understand this... do any shops ever realize that you are intentionally lowering your car that far? that you know the risk. are there no people at all of these shops that ever lower their own cars??? i've been driving for 11 years now and been modding cars ever since (i think like the most of us) and it seems to always be these auto shops are the placxe where they tell you that you should never do what you're doing to your car but it seems like if anyone should be the people into modding cars it would be them so they would understand that you are making your car that way on purpose and it's not just some idiot that has no idea that the springs he bought will lower the car 1.5"+. do they lose the desire to mod a car after fixing them all the time? are they really oblivious to car culture even though they work around them all day? ... /rant sorry.

H&R's are great springs and its NOT too low! I do think if you're going to stay with that height and you're happy wit the look then you'll be fine. Do you have any rubbing issues while turning up driveways up front? Rubbing in rear with passengers? These are the only 2 problems I see with wider tires on the 2IS. Don't worry about what that place told you if you know the problems that may arise ( camber, rubbing, harder to align). I'm on 20's and I'm fine

I'm running H&Rs with Vossen CV2s at the same offsets, but I'm running 15mm spacers all around. The drop is fine but your front tires are a little big unless you heat up your wheel well liners. You'll rub when turning. Go 235/30 or 225. I would save up and get coilovers. Heres my flicker with some pics.

H&R springs will not drop you that low. I have a similar setup with my CV3s, expect I have 235/30 up front with a +32 offset. Im dropped on Megan EZ coils with about half a finger gap up front and zero in the back. I only rub very slightly in the front when making sharp turns.
