Money saved and ready to order, but please help with specs!
Ok, FINALLY I'm ready to drop $$ on wheels...been researching for too long, and asked too many places for quotes, and read too many threads...
I've decided finally to go with XXR 527 and Hankook V12 and have some questions regarding specs and looks I'm going with 18x8.75..........but would I be able to pull off a +20 offset? I'm dropped on H&R (is250 awd)........or be safe and go with +35? For tires, I know 225/40 is probably ideal for 9inch, but this is 0.25 narrower than 9....so should I stick to this or go with something narrower like 215/40R18? As for lugs...I'm thinking Muteki SR48.........my car is silver, and probably going with chrome or flat black for the 527, what colour lugs would look good in this combination? I'm thinking either gunmetal to stay close to wheel and car colours, or red for some contrast? any input would be highly appreciated! Thanks! |
18 x 8.75 +35, 225/40-18, no comment on the lug nuts.

How about a stagger setup 18x8.75 +35 front with 215/40 or 225/40 18x9.75 +35 rear with 245/35 or 255/35 |

Remember to follow the guideline in this thread if running staggered on AWD

Go with the +20 so you don't regret later on and run spacers, I know I did.

Rolling fenders really a bad idea?
however, it will give you the maximum amount of fender-tire clearance to run wider, lower-offset wheels. Thanks...that is VERY USEFUL! Is like almost exact same situation as me lol. I guess the +35 will do...but should I stagger.???? |

it's permanent, and short of replacing all your fender sheetmetal, irreversible.
however, it will give you the maximum amount of fender-tire clearance to run wider, lower-offset wheels. again, go w/ a square set-up. keep it simple. 8.75 is pretty wide anyways! |
if you didnt buy the wheels yet I recommend the Bavaria BC10's over the xxrs :)
