Default Wald lip kit install pointers

I have an authentic Wald lip kit that I installed on Saturday morning and am honestly not too happy with how it came out. When I test fitted, it fit perfect, so it's just my sloppy installing that is bothering me. I want to take another crack at it next weekend. I know it's going to be a pain to take off the 3M tape, but the end result should be worth it.

I already know what I did wrong with the rear spoiler and it's only a little off because I didn't realize 3M tape bonds almost instantaneously.

The biggest problem for me was the rear lip. I'm not sure where to apply the tape so that it doesn't show. Am I missing something here? Any advice would be appreciated...

I would suggest using painters tape to secure it, then take off the double sided tape and apply it.

or get an friend to help you!

Is there anyway for the tape to not be visible when looking from a top view? When I stand right against the back and look straight down I can see the stripes of grey from the tape that is holing the rear lip on.

I didnt use 3M or anything on my front/rear lips. Just the mounting screws it came with, although the rear does occasionally sag a little, but i just lift it back up haha. I knew if i tried 3M alone i would stick it in the wrong place and have to painfully take off the 3M... ugh.

I got no hardware because I bought the kit used. I put 2 screws at the end, but nothing in the middle holes and used 5 pieces of 3M to hold it up. 3M is definitely holding it strong, but the fact that I can see the tape really annoys me. Also, I think I mounted it a tiny bit too low.
