Well, we are fast approaching the end of a very special and historical time in auto history. The second generation Lexus IS has given the company a face, a reputation, stance, roots, and a place for many to establish good memories. With the new GS and ES out, and the LS about to debut, the IS is next. In another few months, our cars will officially be "dated" and everyone will be talking about and looking forward to the new model. Man, where does the time go?

At this time, I'd like to throw down a marker and say right now, we have been riding high on one of the best sedans designed in modern times. Those of us lucky enough to have realized a good thing will look back ten, twenty years from now and say that was a pretty damn cool ride.

For me personally, I am still enthralled with my 2008. And believe me, I am a huge critic rarely satisfied. Maybe this would be a good time to appreciate the moment before it changes.

Wow. Deep. It is happening. But let me just play devils advocate and say there is still the LX... But yeah, I anticipate the IS next. And I can't wait!
Hate to be Debby Downer, but Lexus is smart, this golden event and December to remember may not include our beloved 3IS. Good luck friends, it's going to be an awesome ride...

Pun intended.
