Default 2011 Tail Lights vs ISF Tail Lights?

So, I've just started to try to mod my 2011 IS a bit and I see a lot of ISF Tail Lights. I actually like the ISF tail lights more than my 2011 ones, and to actually replace them, I would also need a 2008 inner tail light. I was wondering if it was possible to replace my inner 2011 tails with 2008 tails, then buy the ISF tails seperately to replace my 2011 outer tails. Haha, it seems kinda stupid cause I see some people here, even with ISF tails would want some 2011 tails, but I seem to like the ISF tails a lot better than my current ones.

Thanks for the advice guys. So does the 08 inner tails fit on a 11 model though? I'm probably gunna post in classified soon and maybe a local trade, cause i have no trade rating or anything, and i dont wanna have no tail lamps to wait for each others shipments to come haha.

Damn I just need the 2011 outer tails. I have a 2010 and would love to have the outers clear instead of Orange.

they fit, need the wires too so its a complete swap. Easiest thing is meet up with someone that has the ISF outters on a 06-08 model. In my opinion they should give you theirs plus a little bit of cash for yours. Your lucky your in CA you wont have a problem finding a member that will meet up and be able to help you do the swap over a weekend or something. Its an easy DIY and if they have done the outters before then they should be fine. Good Luck!

Alright, thanks for the advice! I've never switched out the tails before, didn't even need to change a bulb yet so first time..

Yup, it's an easy swap. The car with the IS-F tails may need to cut some metal to make the 2009+ tails fit though. For you, no modding required. Just swap the tail light assemblies and wire harnesses. Easy peasy.
