Default Hit curb while parking, tire ok?

Hi, while I was trying to street park, my front passenger side got too close and went over the curb. It wasn't high speed and I found some minor scratching on the rim and a small tear (maybe about 1-2 inch flap) on the outer edge. My old car was a Honda civic so I don't know much about these soft performance tires. Will it be ok or is this serious damage? Thanks

EDIT:
some pictures, also I'm more worried about whether it's safe to drive especially on the freeway. The rim scratch is annoying, but minor enough to ignore.

Hate to hear this.

You can call these guys for wheel repair. They can fix the scratches and youll never know it was damaged.

Tire is still technically okay. Theres no gashes missing or sidewall cables showing. But also because there is damage to that spot, a higher speed collision at the very same spot may cause a blow out.

wheel looks OK.

tire's sidewall looks compromised. can be drivable.. but like panda said.. weaken sidewall may lead to blow out.

Tire looks fine.. its just the outer extra thick rubber.. no structural damage is done.. Wheel is an easy fix...

agreed. Tire seems to look ok.

Umm you may want to shrink your picture size down... too large!! A bit of a bandwidth space especially for users who use mobile to view the site.

i'd just buy a new tire than risking anything. the sidewall of a tire is the weakest part. thats just my opinion. but wheel is an easy fix like others have already stated.

Exactly what type of tire you've got there? Some are known to have a "weaker"/spongyer sidewall than others.
