Default Wife cracked my GFX lip

Wife ran over a tire from a truck that had a blow out and busted my GFX lip. I'm gonna turn it in to insurance because it also scratched my bumper and my fender. My question is, if I could get my insurance to cover the cost of a different lip should I go for that? Not really sure what would look good with the rest of the GFX kit or if I should just stick with what I had. I don't want anything too aggressive, maybe just a little bigger.

I'm not even sure if insurance would cover the cost of a different type of replacement lip than what I originally had, if anyone has dealt with this type of situation let me know.

if you already have the sides and rear then get the new GFX.. some of the other lips are too low unless you going to get new sides as well.

That's what I was kinda thinking if anything else would look right with the rest of the kit. I may just have to go back with the GFX if others lips won't match well.

I hope you got something 2009 or newer, the GFX lip is now discontinued at Sewell for 2006-2008!

Check it out here!

How? If the accident is legit, then it is covered as part of the "road hazards" provisions. As long as the replacement of alternate components is disclosed and approved by the insurer, there is no fraud. If replacement of an alternate component results in net incremental costs to the policy holder, then there is no fraud either.

My car is an '06, I wonder if my local dealer can still get them? They said the body kit was a "factory option" when I bought the car. Is that even true?

I kinda hate dealing with them because they tried to rip me off on service in the past, but their body shop does good work because I've seen it.

Theres always the cash out if you can't get it from the factory. Remember to go to a shop that's all OEM. Get you money's worth.

I know there are some ladies on this forum, so I'll play nice, but someone needs to tell them to pay more attention while driving!!
