There is nothing worst than having your owsome date in your luxury leather interior but not knowing what to tell her because it smells as if you had a public urinal in your car as well.
Now I understand some girls not wanting a second date.

this may work.
I bought a special spray at Advance Auto Parts and I going to use it in my car soon.
Label says that you have to turn the AC on then fan to the max set and set your car on fresh air intake then you go outside and spray half bottle into the fresh air intake, then let it run a couple of minutes and turn fan off let the AC run and spray a little into the each vent.

Hope that going to work if not I gonna buy another one and go through process all over even a couple of times to get rid of that crap.

also i bought a carbon cabin filter on ebay, we''ll see.

I was doing the AC off trick that seems to work, but got tired of keep turning it on and off. What I noticed is that every time I turned the AC off, the air recirculation is also changed to fresh air. I've been exprimenting just don't do air recirculation for the past few days and it seems to get rid of the smell. This might also explain why I started to get this smell in the summer as my car automatically switch to recirculation more often ....

I was talking to my brother about this weird smell, and he said that he also has a little bit of it in his BMW, though not nearly as bad.

Default A/C smells like nasty cheese

If your car is still under warranty...good news, there is a fix. If not, you may not want to read this cause it will probably be very expensive.

I bought a 2008 IS 250 with 25,000 miles on it and this smell started the first summer. We took it in and they did an Ozone machine treatment, didn't work. Then they did the foam treatment, worked for a week. Took it back and they took the whole dash out and replaced the condensing unit and said that they had improved the design of the system since my car was made as it retained moisture in whatever material is surrounding the system. They also said that leaving the A/C in recirculating adds to the moisture build up and that if I could remember to switch it to outside air before turning the car off..ya right.

I have no more smell after the change out.
